The Florence Atelier Tradition

Florence has been the centre of Italian leather craftsmanship since the 13th century, when the Arte dei Cuoiai e Galigai guild established the city's first tanning workshops along the Arno River. Trevony continues this 700-year tradition through a family atelier that selects only full-grain vegetable-tanned leather — a process requiring 30–60 days, compared to 24 hours for chrome-tanned alternatives.

Why Handcrafted Matters

Each Trevony piece requires an average of 8–12 hours of skilled hand-stitching, compared to under 30 minutes for machine-produced alternatives. The result is a product that develops a unique patina over decades rather than deteriorating within years.

"We do not make products for seasons. We make objects for lifetimes."

— Andrea Calistri, Trevony Atelier, Florence
